Once you have a practice pad and a set of sticks, you can practice whenever you want. It’s also best to practice these with a metronome, and aim to increase the tempo significantly over time. You should also practice them leading first with the right hand, then alternate to the left hand, just so that both hands will be equally as strong, which will then of course lead to even playing!

It’s important to stick to a rigorous practice routine, and get into the habit of practicing every day, even if it’s just for half an hour. Keeping in the habit of playing a bit every day.
